Turkish food company ETI announced the appointment of Ercan Oz as its Global CEO, aiming to accelerate the company’s international investments and market share.
Strategic Leadership Transition One of Turkey‘s largest industrial enterprises, ETI, has implemented a significant change in its top executive management structure. The company has officially appointed Ercan Oz to the position of Global CEO, effective immediately. Oz transitions into this global role after serving as the CEO of ETI Turkey since 2023. This administrative update comes as the food manufacturer continues to scale its operations beyond its domestic borders.
Focus on International Operations The food company ranks among the top twenty-five largest industrial organizations in Turkey. Recently, ETI has directed its capital toward international acquisitions to increase its foreign market presence. A key move in this strategy was the purchase of TRUBAR, a fast-growing protein bar manufacturer based in North America. This acquisition represents a core component of the brand’s broader objective to establish a stronger footprint in foreign markets.
Regarding his new responsibilities, Oz communicated his administrative priorities to the board and the public. The newly appointed executive noted that the organization intends to protect and sustain its established market dominance within Turkey. Furthermore, he emphasized that his primary focus will involve elevating the company’s competitive capabilities across various international arenas, ensuring that the brand can compete effectively against global food industry conglomerates.
Early Career and Education Oz brings nearly three decades of experience within the fast-moving consumer goods sector. His academic background includes a degree from the Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration, from which he graduated in 1992. His professional journey in the corporate sector began five years later, in 1997, when he joined the beverage corporation Pepsi.
He subsequently moved to Coca Cola, working as a sales executive between 1999 and 2001. Following this tenure, Oz transitioned to the snack food division of PepsiCo, joining Frito Lay. He spent almost a decade at Frito Lay, from 2001 to 2010. During this period, the executive managed various field operations and central administrative functions, directing strategies across multiple geographical regions and sales channels.
Executive Roles and Acquisitions In 2010, the manager accepted a position at the multinational food-products corporation Danone. Over the next seven years, he served in several high-level capacities, including commercial director and country manager across different international markets. While at Danone, Oz also led corporate acquisition processes within the Turkey market and held seats on the executive boards of various subsidiary companies.
His career later expanded into the rapid delivery and technology sector. In 2017, he became a managing partner at the delivery startup Getir. Following his time at Getir, he took on the role of general manager at Duzey Pazarlama, a marketing and distribution company operating under the umbrella of Koc Holding. He managed this organization from 2017 until 2021.
Ascension within the Corporate Structure Oz officially joined the ETI corporate structure in 2021, initially taking on the responsibilities of Sales Group President and joining the executive board. Due to the successful business outcomes achieved during his tenure in sales, the board promoted him to the position of ETI Turkey CEO in March 2023.
During his three years leading the domestic operations, Oz played a critical part in the company’s financial growth and operational restructuring. Based on these sustained administrative results, the board of directors selected him to lead the entire international corporate structure. As of March 2026, Oz assumes full responsibility for all global operations under the title of ETI Global CEO.
