Verbit, a global provider of legal transcription solutions, has introduced Legal Visor, a platform aimed at assisting attorneys in real time during critical stages of litigation such as depositions, hearings, and arbitration. Unlike traditional transcription tools, Legal Visor goes further by delivering AI-generated insights as events unfold, helping litigators focus on key details that may influence legal strategies and case outcomes.

Developed on Verbit’s proprietary Captivate™ platform — which was recently named a “Next Big Thing in Tech” by Fast Company — Legal Visor combines transcription accuracy with advanced speech processing and analytical capabilities. By leveraging this base, the platform enables lawyers to track inconsistencies in testimonies and follow threads that may otherwise be lost during live proceedings.

According to Yair Amsterdam, CEO of Verbit, Legal Visor acts as a “second chair” for attorneys, offering immediate observations that support decision-making throughout the discovery process. Amsterdam noted that the tool is capable of flagging inconsistencies in real time and uncovering elements that might be overlooked in fast-paced speech.

Developed in collaboration with law firms

Legal Visor was not built in isolation. Verbit partnered with established law firms, including Fisher Phillips, LLP and Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, to ensure the system met the practical needs of trial lawyers. Their feedback helped shape the final product, with a focus on providing actionable data during depositions and other legal interactions.
