Noxus, a UK-based startup focused on enabling companies to build AI-driven workforces, has announced a £1.2 million pre-seed funding round, approximately $1.5 million. The round was led by SFC Capital and included backing from Antler, Bynd VC, Caixa Capital, AltaIR Capital, I2BF Global Ventures, Yellow Rocks, Smart Partnership Capital, and a number of business angels from across the European startup ecosystem. The funding will be used to enhance the company’s platform and support operational expansion across multiple markets.

Designed for enterprise use, Noxus offers a scalable platform that allows businesses to implement AI across their organizations without building systems from the ground up. Its AI operating system enables companies to deploy AI co-workers to handle both repetitive and complex tasks alongside human employees. By doing so, businesses can significantly reduce time spent on routine operations and free up staff to focus on higher-value work.

Founded by CEO Joao Pedro Almeida, CTO Jorge Pessoa, and engineers Goncalo Ferreira and Miguel Ribeiro, the startup is focused on bridging the usability gap between advanced AI technologies and enterprise users. The team believes many organizations struggle to make effective use of AI, not because of its complexity, but due to the lack of accessible tools. The company aims to deliver full-stack AI capabilities that adapt to evolving business needs and offer flexibility to companies that are not traditionally technology-driven.

In reference to the disparity in AI adoption between tech leaders and the rest of the market, Joao Pedro Almeida stated, “While industry frontrunners like Klarna have embraced AI ‘co-workers' to supercharge efficiency, productivity, and even raise overall compensation, the vast majority of European businesses - particularly the 99% that don't consider themselves tech companies - continue to struggle with tapping into the transformative potential of AI-driven workforces.” He added that Noxus is positioning itself as a bridge between these advanced tools and traditional industries, helping them integrate AI without massive infrastructure or budget.

Antler COO Vegard Medbo also commented on the company's approach, highlighting that Noxus addresses a key challenge: “Noxus is addressing a crucial challenge for large enterprises: implementing AI in production to achieve meaningful productivity gains without the usual complexity or risks.” He emphasized that the company’s platform enables legacy businesses to embrace AI in a practical and scalable way.

Building for scalability and industry diversity

The platform has been developed with the intent to serve a wide range of sectors beyond technology, including manufacturing, services, and retail. With its latest funding, Noxus plans to scale its solution, improve product features, and broaden its customer base. The team believes this approach will support European enterprises in adapting to the shifting global market dynamics while staying in control of their operations.

By lowering the entry barrier to AI adoption, Noxus is aiming to equip enterprises of varying sizes and structures with the tools they need to navigate the next wave of workplace transformation.
