The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has completed the installation of biology, chemistry, and foreign language laboratories at the “Bido Sejko” Regional School in Konispol, Albania. The project is part of TIKA’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and improve practical learning opportunities for students.

A ceremony held at the school marked the official opening of the new facilities. Attendees included Turkey’s Ambassador to Tirana Tayyar Kagan Atay, Konispol Mayor Ergest Dule, TIKA Tirana Coordinator Mustafa Ata, Dr. Metin Bulut, the Alsar Foundation President Mehdi Gurra, along with school administrators, teachers, and students.

The science laboratories have been upgraded to modern standards, ensuring that students can engage in hands-on experiments while strengthening their analytical thinking skills. This initiative, focused on biology and chemistry, aims to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical education. Additionally, the newly established language lab will support the school’s ongoing foreign language programs, including Turkish language courses that have been offered since 2016.

During the ceremony, Mayor Ergest Dule, an alumnus of the school, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by TIKA. He highlighted the importance of the new facilities for the school’s development and indicated interest in collaborating on future projects.

Ambassador Atay praised the collaboration between TIKA, local authorities, and school management. He described the laboratories as “a gift from the Turkish people to the Albanian community” and emphasized their potential to positively impact students' educational journeys.

Speaking on behalf of the Alsar Foundation, President Mehdi Gurra acknowledged Turkey’s long-standing support, emphasizing how it has helped address the educational needs of local communities.

The event also featured cultural performances, with students reciting poems in both Turkish and Albanian. Traditional music and dance displays added a lively atmosphere to the occasion.
