Skoda Begins Mass Production Of İts All-Electric Elroq Model At Mlada Boleslav Plant
Skoda has announced the commencement of mass production for its first all-electric C-SUV model, Elroq, at its main facility in Mlada Boleslav, Czechia. With a daily production capacity of 600 units, the model is set to be available in Turkey within the first half of 2024. The significance of the Turkish market is underscored by the country's high automobile usage, making the arrival of Elroq a notable development for the region. Having already secured over 20,000 orders across Europe by the end of 2024, Elroq represents an important step in the company's electric mobility roadmap.

Produced alongside the internal combustion engine-powered Octavia and the electric Enyaq, Elroq's integration into the existing production line optimizes Skoda's manufacturing efficiency. This approach not only addresses growing consumer demand but also reinforces the company's commitment to global sustainability initiatives. The vehicle offers battery options with capacities of 63 kWh and 82 kWh, delivering power outputs ranging from 150 kW to 210 kW, catering to diverse driving needs.
Adopting the 'Modern Solid' design language, Elroq features a sustainable interior made with recycled components, reflecting Skoda's eco-friendly focus. The high-capacity lithium-ion batteries provide a range of over 580 kilometers under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), ensuring convenience for long-distance travel. Additionally, the 175 kW DC fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
Equipped with a 13-inch multimedia screen, the vehicle enhances driving comfort through intuitive controls. Its 9.3-meter turning radius makes it suitable for urban environments while remaining efficient for long journeys. With the launch of Elroq, Skoda aims to meet the evolving demands of electric vehicle consumers and strengthen its presence in the global automotive market, highlighting its focus on technological advancement and sustainability.
