Turkey-based startup RumiTech has secured a notable $250,000 pre-seed investment from Sabancı ARF, advancing its mission to transform urban infrastructure with renewable energy solutions. This funding comes as part of the Almost Ready to Fly startup acceleration program initiated by Sabancı ARF.
RumiTech specializes in developing smart poles that store energy harvested from solar and wind sources, integrated with IoT systems, to operate independently of traditional power grids. These smart poles are designed to support street lighting, security, and other smart city applications without the need for connected power sources.
As a participant in the second phase of the Sabancı ARF program, RumiTech has gained recognition for its innovative approach to sustainable and autonomous energy solutions. The investment is part of a broader initiative by Sabancı ARF, which has allocated a total of TRY 140 million (approximately $7 million) to foster the startup ecosystem during its inaugural activity period.
The products developed by RumiTech are distinguished by their low maintenance needs and durability, equipped with advanced IoT technologies that enable remote management. These features ensure high energy efficiency and sustainability, making them suitable for various sectors including smart cities, airports, industrial areas, and commercial spaces.
This latest investment marks a significant milestone in RumiTech’s journey of innovation and growth. With this funding, the company aims to accelerate product development and enhance its competitive stance in international markets.
