Standing out in the competitive crypto industry often demands bold strategies, and RampMeDaddy exemplifies this approach. The platform, named with a playful nod to GoDaddy, aims to simplify cryptocurrency transactions by integrating them seamlessly into Telegram.

What began as a hackathon project during Consensus 2024 has evolved into a pioneering solution: the first Telegram-native memecoin wallet. The goal is ambitious yet clear—making crypto transfers as straightforward as sending a text message.

The platform is the brainchild of Andrey Chabanov and Trevor Hoffman, seasoned executives who previously scaled iTrust Capital into a $1.3 billion crypto IRA provider. However, with RampMeDaddy, the co-founders are entering a markedly different market. Shifting from serving cautious retirement planners to engaging with the volatile world of memecoin trading, they are testing their adaptability in user risk management and platform security.

Leveraging Telegram’s extensive user base, which exceeds one billion globally, the platform targets crypto-savvy individuals. According to Hoffman, “approximately 84% of crypto users maintain active Telegram accounts,” making it an ideal launchpad for a peer-to-peer payment solution. The wallet enables users to buy, sell, and trade memecoins while facilitating cross-border transactions using USDC on the Stellar blockchain.

The team chose Stellar for its speed, low transaction costs, and expansive anchor network. Explaining the decision, Chabanov stated, “When you leave the U.S., payments become much more complex. Through Stellar anchors, we can facilitate on- and off-ramping in over 100 countries, making payments truly borderless.” This aligns with the company’s mission to democratize global financial services.

Security is a critical focus for RampMeDaddy, which incorporates advanced features like biometric authentication and local key storage. Users can access their wallets through Face ID or fingerprint verification, eliminating the traditional seed phrase requirement. In the event of a lost device, the wallet offers a recovery process through email verification, providing a seamless experience even for less tech-savvy users.

Following its success at Consensus 2024, RampMeDaddy secured partnerships with the Stellar Foundation and Draper U Ventures. With a team of seven, including a former BNY Mellon compliance executive, the platform is preparing for its official launch in January. The launch strategy includes introducing a Telegram mini-game to increase user engagement and awareness.

Looking to the future, the co-founders envision RampMeDaddy becoming a leading platform for digital payments and identity services. According to Chabanov, “In five to ten years, we aim to be a one-stop shop for digital identity and payments, all within Telegram and beyond.” Plans are underway to integrate with additional blockchains and decentralized exchanges, offering users early access to new memecoins while maintaining an intuitive, user-friendly interface.

“When you're far from home, cash is still king. But in our world, Daddy’s got a better way to pay,” said Chabanov. By tapping into Telegram’s massive user base and the borderless capabilities of blockchain technology, RampMeDaddy aims to reshape the way people think about digital transactions in an increasingly globalized world.
