Primafrio, the Spanish road transport operator, has expanded its logistics network in Europe with the inauguration of its first hub outside the Iberian Peninsula. The new facility, located in Belfort, France, is a significant addition to the company's existing seven facilities in the Peninsula, which are situated in Girona, Alava, Madrid, Murcia, Huelva, Valencia, and Lisbon. This new hub is set to bolster the "growing demand for logistics solutions" in European markets, with a particular focus on France, Germany, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe.

Operations have commenced in the first phase of the 9,500 square meter warehouse in Belfort. The facility, spanning a total area of 77,000 square meters, is dedicated to refrigerated cross-docking services and is equipped with 84 loading docks. The second phase of development plans to construct an additional warehouse with similar features to double its capacity. Additionally, there will be a "rest area" for drivers, including "a hotel and a restaurant," according to Primafrio.

José Esteban Conesa, the president of Primafrio, stated that the inauguration of the platform represents not only an "exceptional milestone in the company's expansion" but also underscores their "continuous commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the logistics sector." Currently, Primafrio handles over five million tons of refrigerated goods annually, distributing from the Iberian Peninsula to twenty-seven European countries, supported by a fleet of 2,800 trucks.

This new hub is expected to strengthen Primafrio's presence in Europe, enabling the company to provide more efficient and effective services. The focus on key markets such as France, Germany, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe reflects the strategic importance of these regions in the company's growth plans. By enhancing its logistics capabilities, Primafrio aims to meet the increasing demands of its European customers with faster and more reliable services.

With this investment, Primafrio intends to elevate the standards of quality and sustainability in logistics services across Europe. The company’s future expansion plans aim to solidify its leadership position in the logistics sector and expand its service network. This new hub is a critical component of Primafrio's strategic growth objectives in Europe, enhancing the company's competitive edge in the market.

Primafrio's move to open a new hub in Belfort highlights its commitment to responding to the rising demands in the European logistics market. The opening of this new facility is part of Primafrio's broader strategy to reach a larger customer base internationally and improve service quality. This strategic expansion is designed to ensure that Primafrio continues to provide high-quality logistics solutions and maintains its position as a leading player in the industry.

The new logistics center will not only support Primafrio's growth ambitions but also ensure that the company remains at the forefront of the logistics sector, offering superior services to its European clients. The hub in Belfort is set to play a vital role in Primafrio's ongoing efforts to expand its operational footprint and enhance its service offerings across Europe.
