MYndspan has appointed Nawal Roy, CEO of Holmusk, as a strategic advisor, furthering its aim to expand access to real-time, data-driven brain health solutions.

MYndspan strengthens its advisory team as it scales MEG brain scanning for broader access

In a strategic move aligned with its ongoing efforts to make clinical-grade brain health assessment more widely accessible, MYndspan has announced the addition of Holmusk Founder and CEO Nawal Roy as a strategic advisor. The appointment comes amid the company’s equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube and follows a recent investment by neurotechnology firm EMOTIV.

The collaboration marks a step forward for MYndspan, which is recognized as the first company to offer Magnetoencephalography (MEG) brain scans directly to consumers. Typically confined to academic and specialist clinical environments, MEG is a non-invasive, real-time technology that captures brain function with unmatched precision. The company’s goal is to transform this advanced neuroimaging tool into a preventive health service for the general public.

Roy is known for his work in behavioral health and real-world data applications. He leads Holmusk and is behind the development of NeuroBlu, a platform that houses longitudinal data from over 35 million patients across more than 30 health systems. According to Roy, “MYndspan is building what brain health has long needed: a science-backed, user-accessible way to measure and monitor how our brains are functioning.”

Expanding preventive care with personalized metrics

By incorporating Roy’s expertise, MYndspan aims to enhance its biomarker models—such as Functional Brain Age and the Brain Stability Index—and enable long-term tracking that supports early detection and prevention of cognitive disorders. These metrics are part of a comprehensive assessment that includes a 10-minute silent MEG scan and cognitive tasks measuring attention, memory, and processing speed. Within 24 hours, users receive a personalized brain health report offering detailed insight into neural performance.

The company's current fundraising initiative invites both investors and future clients to participate in the project’s growth. Supporters gain early access to scan appointments at MYndspan’s upcoming London flagship center, as well as potential equity in the company. Caitlin Baltzer, Co-Founder and CEO of MYndspan, described the campaign as “an investment in the future of brain health.”

Partnerships and infrastructure to support scale

To scale operations effectively, MYndspan is collaborating with a number of global neurotechnology and clinical care leaders. These include MEGIN, the maker of world-renowned MEG systems; IMEDCO, a specialist in magnetic shielding; BIOS Health, which contributes real-time neural data analysis; and Re:Cognition Health, a clinical partner integrating MEG into care pathways for conditions like PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and dementia.

These alliances provide the technical and clinical foundation necessary for MYndspan’s expansion, starting in the UK and potentially extending to other regions. With neurological disorders now identified as the leading global cause of disability, and with research indicating that up to 45% of dementia cases are preventable, the company's focus on early brain health interventions reflects a growing demand for proactive approaches.
