Tallinn-based influencer marketing platform Modash has announced its acquisition of fellow Estonian startup Promoty, a platform known for its CRM-focused tools aimed at fostering meaningful brand-creator partnerships. This strategic move comes shortly after Modash secured €11 million in a Series A funding round, marking a significant step in its mission to support Shopify-based e-commerce brands.
Speaking about the acquisition, Modash CEO Avery Schrader stated, “In 2025 Modash is obsessed with supporting Shopify businesses to scale partnerships with creators. Today we already solve creator gifting, payments, affiliate management, content monitoring and discovery. Promoty has nailed the CRM-like features in between all of these actions and has built a great brand in the Nordics and Baltics. This acquisition solidifies our European footprint and accelerates our progress toward being the central place that brands around the world can partner with creators.”
Founded in 2020, Modash has raised €13.6 million in funding to date, supported by investors such as henQ and Change Ventures. The platform serves as an all-in-one solution for brands aiming to scale their influencer marketing efforts globally. With a search engine covering over 250 million creators and tools for campaign management, content monitoring, and payments, the platform enables brands to streamline their partnerships. Companies like Birkenstock, Victoria’s Secret, Ikea, and Notino have utilized Modash to access the growing €241 billion creator economy.
Scaling influencer partnerships remains a challenge for many brands, with 80% of marketers citing it as essential for growth. Modash seeks to address this by offering efficient solutions tailored to the fast-paced needs of Shopify-based businesses.
Meanwhile, Promoty, founded in 2017 by Aleks Koha and Leonardo Romanello, has established itself as a reliable platform for managing long-term relationships between brands and creators. Its Trello-like CRM system, available through web and mobile apps, enables brands to manage campaigns seamlessly. With features such as white-label solutions and API integrations, Promoty has gained traction in regions including the Nordics, Baltics, and Benelux, working with brands like Lyko, Freeletics, and Alibaba.
Reflecting on the journey, Aleks Koha remarked, “After 7 years of supporting the region’s best brands, we’re happy to see the hard work of the Promoty team start to go global. Modash is the perfect partner, having known each other for the entirety of the road so far and having a shared vision of building better relationships between brands and creators.”
With this acquisition, Modash aims to enhance its offerings, particularly in managing long-term creator relationships and campaign details. The company continues to develop its core search product, leveraging artificial intelligence and integrating deeper into the Shopify ecosystem. Following a successful launch in the United States, Modash is further expanding its presence in North America, strengthening its position as a leader in the influencer marketing space.
