Mercedes-Benz Turk is set to launch its new locally produced truck model, the Actros L, on Turkish roads in January. Manufactured at the company’s Aksaray Plant, the vehicle is notable for its redesigned structure and advanced technological features. The first showcase of this model was conducted for Mercedes-Benz Turk Truck Sales Dealers, highlighting its readiness to meet the demands of the transport industry.
The New Actros L, promoted under the slogan “The New Shape of Efficiency,” aims to combine sustainability and innovation. Alper Kurt, Mercedes-Benz Turk Truck Marketing and Sales Director, stated, “We are delighted to present the new Mercedes-Benz Actros L with its futuristic design, optimized aerodynamic features, and advanced driving systems. With this model, we achieve up to 3% fuel savings.”
Setting New Standards in Efficiency
Launched initially in 1996, the Actros series has consistently adapted to the evolving needs of drivers and the transportation industry. In its latest version, the New Actros L incorporates cutting-edge aerodynamic improvements, including an 80 mm extended cabin design. These features, combined with enhanced air circulation systems, not only improve the truck's performance but also contribute to significant fuel savings of up to 3%.
Further boosting its efficiency is the 3rd generation OM 471 diesel engine, which enhances fuel economy by up to 7% compared to its predecessors. Designed specifically for long-distance transportation, the New Actros L offers a solution focused on minimizing fuel consumption while maximizing performance, making it a compelling option for modern logistics operations.
Safety and Comfort for Long-Distance Drivers
The New Actros L emphasizes safety and comfort, two critical aspects of long-haul transportation. Equipped with the Active Brake Assist 6 (ABA6) system, the truck surpasses current General Safety Regulation (GSR Phase B) requirements. ABA6 features advanced radar sensors providing a 270-degree observation area and is capable of detecting pedestrians and cyclists at speeds of up to 60 km/h. The system reacts by initiating emergency braking to prevent collisions, offering enhanced protection for urban and highway operations alike.
Inside, the ProCabin design brings comfort to the forefront. Features such as optimized seat heating, a massage function for the driver’s seat, LED ambient lighting, and premium bedding options ensure a relaxing environment for drivers during long hauls. The focus on ergonomics and convenience underscores Mercedes-Benz Turk’s commitment to improving working conditions for truck drivers.
Local Production Powering Turkish Roads
Assembled at the Aksaray Plant, the New Actros L showcases Mercedes-Benz Turk’s strength in local production. Supported by a robust dealership network across Turkey, the model reflects the company’s dedication to contributing to the national economy while maintaining its leadership in the transportation sector.
Alper Kurt noted, “With the New Actros L, we emphasize our promise to deliver the best vehicle solutions for our customers. Our flagship model has been further refined to meet the industry's needs, offering enhanced efficiency and advanced technologies.”
Slated for release in January, the New Actros L stands out with its state-of-the-art safety systems, fuel efficiency, and driver-focused comfort features. As Mercedes-Benz Turk continues to innovate, the New Actros L sets the stage for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future in logistics.
