JYSK, the Scandinavian retailer known for its home and living products, continues its rapid expansion in the Turkish market. Entering the Turkish market in May 2023, the brand has now opened its fourth store, covering an area of 1,160 square meters, at First Avenue AVM in Beykent. Alexandru Bratu, JYSK Turkey Country Manager, announced, “In 2025, we will open 5 new stores.”
The Denmark-based home goods retailer has been dedicated to offering great Scandinavian solutions for sleep and living spaces to everyone since its founding as a family business. After making its debut in Turkey with stores at Torium AVM and Oasis Cadde, the brand opened its third store at Nautilus AVM and now its fourth at First Avenue AVM.
The new store continues to provide affordable and quality products to customers. It features an area of 1,160 square meters, a ceiling height of 4.15 meters, and offers over 2,000 product varieties. Alexandru Bratu expressed his satisfaction with the reception in Turkey, stating, “We have achieved success beyond our expectations.”
Bratu highlighted the strong interest from customers and their appreciation for the Scandinavian style and the opportunity to purchase quality products at the best prices, which has propelled the brand to remarkable success in a short time. He noted, “We are very happy about this. We continue our investments in Turkey without slowing down. With this new store in Beykent, we have increased the number of stores in Istanbul to four. This allows us to reach more customers and offer them JYSK's quality and affordable products.”
Furthermore, Bratu revealed that there are ongoing discussions and projects in key locations on both the Asian and European sides of Istanbul. He stated, “We plan to open 5 new stores in Turkey by 2025.”
JYSK Turkey has quickly won the favor of customers in the Turkish market, with this interest reflecting positively on sales. Bratu mentioned that their success in the first year of operation exceeded expectations and added, “In the near future, we will welcome our customers in many different neighborhoods. We will also evaluate requests from different cities and continue our investments outside Istanbul, primarily in surrounding provinces.”
JYSK Turkey aims to continue presenting its stores to customers with the latest concept. The store design facilitates easy access to products and features energy-saving lighting that makes products more visually appealing. The neutral colors, including light brown and wood-look flooring, create a simple atmosphere throughout the store. Additionally, the store offers sample rooms and inspiring corners with various decoration ideas.
JYSK has over 3,400 stores in 48 countries worldwide. This rapid growth in the Turkish market reinforces the brand's strong global presence and supports its goal of establishing a permanent footprint in the local market.
