Ultralight secures $9.3M seed funding for medical software

Ultralight, a software platform for functional, integrative, and longevity medicine practices, has closed a $9.3 million seed round. This funding aims to replace the fragmented software currently used by clinics in this space. The General Partnership led the funding round, with participation from Wisdom Ventures, Anthemis, Emerson Collective, and GSBackers.

Since its launch in 2025, Ultralight has reached 75 clinics and over 1,200 clinicians, growing entirely through word of mouth. The platform was co-founded by Sunita Mohanty and Pedro Tabio as a single operating system for physicians focused on root-cause and preventive care.

Challenges in Functional Medicine

Functional and integrative medicine practices face unique challenges with existing software systems. Physicians spend more time with each patient, requiring broader diagnostic panels and long-term health tracking. Current electronic health records are not designed for these needs, often leading to clinics using multiple disconnected tools.

Ultralight's Solution and Funding Utilization

The $9.3 million funding will support Ultralight in enhancing its AI-assisted clinical intelligence layer, expanding treatment protocol libraries, and building a sales team. The company aims to support complex clinic structures, including multi-location networks and hybrid billing practices.

Ultralight's rebranding from Vibrant Practice aligns with its growth and adoption by clinics across the United States. The platform integrates clinical data, workflows, and AI-assisted analysis, allowing clinicians to review patient information from a single interface.

Investor Support

This seed round marks Ultralight's first publicly disclosed funding. The General Partnership's involvement, along with other notable investors, highlights the platform's potential in transforming functional medicine practices.
