Stellantis Chairman John Elkann remarked on the brand's storied history, stating, "FIAT was born out of a passion for progress in 1899. It is one of the few companies that successfully transitioned from the artisanal phase to the industrial era. It has represented the ability to move freely and stylishly for millions. For 125 years, we have worked, sought solutions, believed in our future, and stood by what we have built. We thank everyone who made it possible for this startup from Turin to become part of one of the world’s largest automakers, Stellantis."

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares expressed his delight in celebrating the milestone in FIAT's home city. "FIAT, one of the most iconic brands in our Stellantis constellation, brings the genuine Italian feel to customers worldwide. For three consecutive years, FIAT has been Stellantis' top brand in terms of sales volume. It leads in key markets like Italy, Brazil, and Turkey, and carries the responsibility of offering sustainable, safe, and economical mobility to customers globally. I thank everyone who has valued FIAT over the generations and worked hard to carry its rich 125-year history into the future. The entire FIAT team shares the same passion and desire to always bring smiles to our customers."

FIAT CEO and Stellantis Global Marketing Manager Olivier Francois highlighted FIAT's alignment with societal needs over the past 125 years. "Our customers want iconic and accessible city cars, economical compact vehicles, family cars, commercial vehicles, and excitement for everyday use with 'Abarth', and FIAT delivers exactly that. We are already building FIAT's return to the global mainstream on three pillars: Italian design and development, global platforms, and local relevance. The Grande Panda is the first member of our new global family. Over the next decade, we will offer the right products for each of our customers because, for us, the customer is at the heart of everything."

FIAT Unveils the New Global Model, Grande Panda

The Grande Panda, symbolizing FIAT's return to the global mainstream market, is built on three pillars: Italian design, a global platform, and local relevance. The project embodies values of sustainability, inclusivity, simplicity, and beauty. Its design is inspired by the iconic Panda model from the 1980s.

The Grande Panda reimagines the original Panda by increasing its size to create an accessible and family-friendly B-segment vehicle. Known for its smart solutions and ease of use, it is set to enhance the driving experience for FIAT customers worldwide.

One of its standout features is the spiral-shaped charging cable that emerges from the front grille, designed to make the charging experience easier than ever. The Grande Panda includes an integrated charging cable that works with up to 7 kW of alternating current. This spiral cable saves space, is simple to use, and avoids the clutter of traditional cables, making daily use more practical.

Much like the 1980s Panda that revolutionized car experience, the Grande Panda boasts a cool personality and surprising features, utilizing space innovatively and intelligently. It distinguishes itself in the B-segment with compact dimensions (3.99 meters in length, 1.57 meters in height, and 1.76 meters in width) and a well-organized interior capacity. For example, the 361-liter trunk is complemented by 13-liter storage compartments in front of the passenger seat.

With the unveiling of the Grande Panda, FIAT continues to blend innovation and tradition, ensuring it remains a beloved and trusted brand for years to come.
