Dstny has been awarded the Employee Wellbeing Award at the ZoHRo Awards, an event organized by Belgian HR platform ZigZagHR that celebrates the achievements of HR professionals and teams. This accolade acknowledges Dstny's innovative approach to enhancing employee well-being, a fundamental aspect of the company’s culture and a key contributor to its sustainable growth.
At Dstny, employee well-being is paramount, as it aims to provide a safe and supportive physical and psychological work environment. The company believes that prioritizing employee well-being leads to lower staff turnover, reduced burnout rates, satisfied customers, and overall business success. Daan De Wever, co-founder and CEO of Dstny Group, expressed pride in receiving the award, stating, “This recognition is a testament to our dedication to fostering a culture of well-being and ensuring our employees feel supported and valued.”
Dstny's well-being strategy includes both formal and informal approaches. The formal approach is data-driven, addressing the complexities brought about by the company’s rapid growth. Daan De Wever explained, “We lacked a strategic HR tool to bridge the gap between employees and the organization, enhance productivity, and maintain high employee retention. This led to the creation of Vitaminsatwork.be, an analysis tool supported by scientific research from VUB and Solvay Business School.”
Vitaminsatwork.be provides real-time, scientifically backed, and action-oriented insights at individual, team, and company levels. Dstny conducts annual extensive surveys and several smaller ones throughout the year via this platform, resulting in high participation rates. These surveys identify the drivers of well-being and engagement, revealing unique correlations that help the company respect employee privacy while actively working on improvements.
Additionally, Dstny regularly performs an eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) survey. This allows employees to give direct feedback on their well-being within the company, enabling management to continuously monitor employee and team sentiment.
The informal approach to well-being at Dstny is grounded in the company’s core values, known as ICORE: Innovation, Commitment, Obsession for Customer Experience, Respect, and Empowerment. With ICORE at its heart, Dstny adopts a unique approach to business both internally and in its dealings with customers, partners, and suppliers.
Daan De Wever and the entire management team at Dstny maintain an approachable demeanor and a strong willingness to listen, fostering open communication, accessibility, a sense of security, and a forward-looking perspective that enhances overall well-being within the company.
