Edward Chen from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore and Bunnie Studios founder Bunnie Huang will deliver keynote speeches at Black Hat Asia 2025 in Singapore.

Two prominent figures in the global cybersecurity ecosystem, Edward Chen and Bunnie Huang, have been announced as the keynote speakers for the upcoming Black Hat Asia 2025 conference. The event is set to take place on April 3–4 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, bringing together experts, researchers, and professionals from across the world. Both keynote presentations will commence the main Briefings sessions, setting the tone for two days of in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange.

First day to feature Cyber Security Agency of Singapore's Edward Chen

Scheduled for Thursday, April 3 at 9:00 AM, Edward Chen will take the stage to open the event. Serving as the Deputy Chief Executive of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Chen brings with him years of experience in defense and cyber operations. Prior to his current role, he held the position of Defence Cyber Chief with the rank of Brigadier General in the newly formed Digital and Intelligence Service within the Singapore Armed Forces. His address is expected to focus on institutional perspectives and operational strategies in national cybersecurity frameworks.

Bunnie Huang to discuss trust in hardware supply chains

The second keynote, scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 9:00 AM, will be delivered by Bunnie Huang, founder of Bunnie Studios. Known for his extensive work on open source hardware development, Huang's current research explores technological trust mechanisms. His presentation, titled “Perspectives on Trust in Hardware Supply Chains,” will examine the challenges and methodologies associated with securing complex hardware ecosystems. His background in design, manufacturing, and ethical technology practices places him at the intersection of innovation and accountability.
