Founded in October 2021, Cross4Cloud, a Turkey-based cloud technology startup, is positioning itself in the global market with a product designed to manage multiple cloud environments from a single interface. The company has introduced a new technology called metacloud, a concept mentioned in Deloitte’s 2023 tech trend report, offering an abstraction layer that unifies operations across various cloud platforms.

Unified control for complex cloud infrastructures

According to Cross4Cloud CEO Ercan Yesil, the platform allows cloud users to coordinate their operations more efficiently by integrating multiple cloud service providers into a centralized dashboard. It enables users to control cost structures, security protocols, and performance metrics across platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.

Yesil explained that the metacloud architecture plays a critical role in simplifying complex environments. “It provides cloud users an abstraction layer on top of the cloud providers, cloud environments to manage their multi-cloud operations smoothly,” he said. He also noted that their goal is to introduce the metacloud concept globally and become the first technology company to establish it as a standard. “After that, we have great potential to be a global technology player in the world.”

Expansion plans and international pilots

With a 25-member team, Cross4Cloud is actively seeking to expand its reach both locally and abroad. In February 2025, the company onboarded its first international customer in Norway through a pilot project with SoftwareOne. In Turkey, it has started working with companies like Moda Nisa and is currently engaged in discussions with several other potential clients expected to be announced in the coming months.

The company has also developed relationships with local firms such as Turkcell and KocSistem to better understand domestic needs and foster strategic collaborations.

Cloud security awareness and certifications

Alongside product development, cloud security has become a key area of focus. Mehmet Uner, representative of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) in Turkey, emphasized the importance of standardized practices in the industry. He noted that CSA recently signed an agreement with the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) to promote the adoption of Star certification, which ensures companies comply with high-level security protocols.

Cross4Cloud is one of seven Turkish firms to receive this certification. According to Uner, the achievement signals that the company is “deeply committed to cloud security” and assures customers that their data will be “securely stored and processed through our solutions.”

Yesil added that holding such a globally recognized certification builds trust across borders and can play a decisive role in forming international partnerships.

Targeting growth in a trillion-dollar market

With the global cloud services market nearing $1 trillion, and over 80% of users operating across multiple platforms, Cross4Cloud is developing a solution that responds to a clear market need. To scale operations and accelerate product development, the company is currently seeking $2.5 million in seed funding, valuing the startup at over $25 million.
