Canon EMEA President and CEO, Yuichi Ishizuka, made his inaugural official visit to Turkey, where he engaged with the management and teams at the Canon Eurasia office. During his visit, Ishizuka emphasized the critical role Turkey plays in the global strategy of Canon, particularly within the EMEA region.
Throughout the meetings, Ishizuka highlighted that Turkey is considered one of the priority markets for Canon, essential for the company’s operations in the EMEA region. He noted, "This visit represents a priceless opportunity to connect with our teams and customers on the ground, strengthen our business, and explore future investments to enhance our community contributions. With its customer base and demographic profile, Turkey holds a significant position in our strategic vision."
Ishizuka also spoke about various community support initiatives like the 'Canon Youth Program' and 'Women in Sales', through which Canon leverages its resources, equipment, and expertise to bolster community efforts. He expressed the company's ongoing commitment to maintaining its market leadership in printing and imaging technology in Turkey, underscoring Canon’s resolve to continue enhancing its competitive edge.
During his stay, Yuichi Ishizuka was hosted by Alexandre Emeryk, Country Director for Canon Eurasia. Emeryk echoed Ishizuka's sentiments about the importance of the Turkish market to Canon. He stated, "We will continue to make significant investments in our operations in Turkey. These investments will enable us to work closely with all our stakeholders in Turkey, further strengthening our customer-focused approach and supporting their successes. This will enhance our presence in the Turkish market and progressively advance Canon forward."
Additionally, Ishizuka took the opportunity to review Canon’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in Turkey. He visited the office of the Tüvana Education Foundation for Children Eager to Read (TOÇEV), Canon’s partner in the Canon Youth Program for the past two years. The program has provided basic photography training to children aged 14-17. Ishizuka thanked TOCEV for their support since 2015, stating, "Thanks to TOCEV, over the last two years, we have successfully trained 29 young individuals in basic photography, helping them express their emotions and perspectives through photography. This collaboration has also resulted in memorable exhibitions in Ankara and Mardin. As TOCEV celebrates its 30th anniversary, having provided educational opportunities to over 8 million children facing educational access difficulties across Turkey, we recognize the invaluable importance of this program in nurturing the future storytellers of our society."
Ishizuka's visit underscores Canon's commitment to deepening its engagement and investments in Turkey, reinforcing the strategic importance of the region within its broader global operations.
