Microsoft, has stepped down from his scheduled keynote address at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. The Gates Foundation India confirmed the schedule change on Thursday.
According to a statement released on the foundation’s official social media account, the decision was made to keep the focus on the primary priorities of the AI summit. Ankur Vora, President of the Africa and India Offices for the Gates Foundation, will take over representation duties and deliver remarks to the attendees later in the day.
Commitment to Health and Development
Despite the change in speakers, the Gates Foundation clarified its continuous dedication to its collaborative operations in India. The organization underscored its ongoing support for shared goals in health, equity, and broader developmental objectives driven by technological innovation.
Ankur Vora is scheduled to outline these ongoing multilateral efforts during today’s sessions. The summit currently taking place gathers prominent global figures in technology to discuss India‘s role in developing responsible and inclusive artificial intelligence.

Running from February 16 to 20, the India AI Impact Summit 2026 is structured around three core pillars: People, Planet, and Progress. The event facilitates discussions among nations and international institutions regarding the use of AI to resolve global challenges and foster mutual growth.
The accompanying event, the India AI Impact Expo 2026, was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister on Monday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
