The 2025 Global 500 list, detailing the world's most valuable brands, has been released by Brand Finance, showcasing a 10% increase in total brand value compared to the previous year. The combined value of the 500 brands now stands at $9.5 trillion, far outpacing the global economic growth rate of 3%.

Apple continues its reign as the most valuable brand globally, with a brand value of $574.5 billion. This solidifies its position ahead of Microsoft, valued at $461.1 billion, and Google, with a brand value of $413 billion. Amazon, another major player, holds fourth place at $356.4 billion, while Walmart, at $137.2 billion, completes the top five. Notably, Walmart achieved significant growth of 42%, underlining its success in adapting to modern retail challenges.

The technology sector dominates the rankings, with four of the top five spots claimed by tech giants. However, other sectors are also making significant strides. NVIDIA, with a 98% increase in brand value, climbed to ninth place. This remarkable growth reflects the company's advancements in artificial intelligence and semiconductor technologies.

Chinese brands have also maintained a strong presence in the rankings. TikTok/Douyin, valued at $105.8 billion, represents the growing influence of social media platforms on global markets. Additionally, WeChat remains the world's strongest brand, achieving an impressive Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 95.2 out of 100.

Brands such as Tesla and Mercedes-Benz continue to reflect the automotive sector's transformation. While Tesla has faced challenges, it remains a leader in electric vehicle innovation. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz, valued at $53 billion, showcases the enduring appeal of luxury automotive brands.

Among retail and financial institutions, Chase and Bank of America have shown stable growth, highlighting the resilience of banking in a dynamic economic landscape. Similarly, luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel demonstrate the global demand for high-end products, with their brand values reaching $32.9 billion and $37.9 billion, respectively.
