Zurich-based ANYbotics, a provider of AI-powered robotic inspection solutions, has raised an additional $60 million (€57.15 million), bringing its total funding to over $130 million (€123.82 million). The latest investment round was led by Qualcomm Ventures and Supernova Invest, with participation from TDK Ventures and other investors. Existing backers include Walden Catalyst, NGP Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Swisscanto, and Swisscom Ventures.

Michel Glezer, Director of Qualcomm Ventures Europe, highlighted the company's growing impact on industrial automation through advanced robotics. He noted that ANYbotics delivers proven AI-powered solutions addressing critical challenges in global industries. He added, "We’re proud to support their mission to enable the automation of industries through edge AI and connectivity."

Founded in Switzerland, ANYbotics focuses on improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability in industries such as energy, power, metals, mining, and chemicals. Its flagship product, the ANYmal robot, is designed for autonomous operations, enabling real-time data collection for tasks like inspections, remote operations, and predictive maintenance. These capabilities allow companies to reduce labor shortages, enhance workplace safety, and improve operational efficiency.

With strong demand for its solutions, ANYbotics has secured orders from major corporations, including BP, Equinor, Petrobras, Novelis, and Outokumpu. The company is expanding its presence globally, fueled by this growing interest. Recent milestones include the opening of a new office in Silicon Valley to better support its expanding customer base in North America.

Strategic partnerships with companies such as AWS, NVIDIA, SAP, SLB, Equans, and Siemens Energy further enable ANYbotics to integrate AI-driven robotics into industrial environments. These collaborations facilitate the global adoption of ANYbotics' solutions and contribute to their scalability.

The additional funding will be directed towards advancing the company's hardware and software capabilities. Dr. Peter Fankhauser, co-founder and CEO of ANYbotics, said, "This additional funding allows us to scale globally, enhance our AI-driven capabilities, and continue to deliver unmatched value to our customers across industries." He emphasized the company's mission to transform industrial inspections through autonomous robotics.

One of the primary areas of investment is enhancing the performance of ANYmal robots. New developments include the integration of built-in GPUs to enable faster processing and advanced AI analytics. This upgrade is expected to improve anomaly detection, condition monitoring, and overall safety in demanding industrial environments. In addition, ANYbotics plans to expand the robot's payload capacity with advanced sensor arrays for visual, acoustic, gas, and thermal monitoring. These upgrades aim to enhance ANYmal's versatility and precision in inspection tasks.

As part of its scaling efforts, ANYbotics is also addressing the challenge of transforming industrial data into actionable insights. Its new solutions bridge the gap between data collection and analysis, enabling real-time, remote asset health monitoring. By improving efficiency and reducing downtime, these innovations support smarter decision-making processes for industrial operators.

The company plans to use the funding to grow its autonomous mobile robotics team, accelerate product development, and expand its global reach. With continued investment in its technology and workforce, ANYbotics remains focused on delivering robust AI-powered solutions that align with the needs of modern industries.
