Anthropic has officially launched the Max Plan, a new subscription tier aimed at individuals and teams who use Claude regularly and require higher usage allowances. The plan is structured to meet the needs of those who depend on Claude for in-depth collaboration, document processing, and time-sensitive tasks. It introduces scalable access levels with up to 20 times more usage compared to the existing Pro plan.

Expanded limits to support demanding workflows

According to Anthropic, one of the most common requests from its active users has been more usage capacity. The Max Plan was developed in response to this, offering increased flexibility and availability. The company stated, “The top request from our most active users has been expanded Claude access. The new Max plan delivers exactly that.”

With the Max Plan, users can choose between two different usage levels. The Expanded Usage option provides five times more usage than the Pro tier and is priced at $100 per month. This is tailored for frequent users who need more flexibility but may not require the highest limits. For those who use Claude extensively throughout their day, the Maximum Flexibility option offers 20 times the usage of the Pro plan and is priced at $200 per month.

Early access to new features and models

Subscribers to the Max Plan are also granted priority access to the latest models and features released by Anthropic. This allows professionals to stay up-to-date with Claude's newest capabilities and ensure smoother, uninterrupted workflows. The company highlights that Max users can continue their most important projects without facing current usage constraints.

The plan addresses the needs of those who often work with large texts, complex data, and tasks that require frequent back-and-forth with Claude. As Anthropic notes, it suits users who “need extended conversations to refine and perfect your work” and “have deadlines that can’t wait for your current usage limits.”

Designed for daily Claude users

The Max Plan targets individuals who interact with Claude multiple times a day, whether for writing assistance, coding tasks, or decision-making processes. It also supports broader usage scenarios, from organizing daily priorities to preparing for high-stakes professional situations.

The new plan is now available in all regions where Claude is offered. Interested users can sign up or upgrade directly at claude.ai/upgrade. Currently, Anthropic offers three subscription tiers: Free ($0), Pro ($18/month), and Max (from $100/month).

By introducing the Max Plan, Anthropic aims to offer a more scalable and responsive AI assistant experience to meet the evolving demands of its most dedicated users.
