Amsterdam's Fintech Leader Mollie Unveils New Invoicing Solution to Enhance Business Services
Amsterdam-based fintech company Mollie has announced the launch of Mollie Invoicing, a new service designed to allow users to send invoices directly from the Mollie Dashboard. This initiative is a direct response to customer feedback highlighting the need for a proprietary invoicing solution.

The development of Mollie Invoicing is part of Mollie's ongoing efforts to enhance its offerings for B2B companies. The company previously introduced business-focused payment methods such as Buy Now Pay Later, 3 Business, and Billie. These products aim to simplify and streamline financial transactions for business clients.
Mollie Invoicing aims to simplify payment processes by enabling users to attach a Mollie Payment Link to their invoices, which directs customers to a payment page for easier transactions. This new feature also includes customizable invoice templates and allows users to set their own payment terms, catering to the specific needs of various businesses.
Currently, Mollie Invoicing is available in all countries where Mollie operates, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Eastern Europe, the UK, and France. Initially, the service is accessible via the Mollie Dashboard, with plans for full integration into the Mollie ecosystem expected to be completed in the second half of the year.
Commenting on the new service, Mollie CEO Koen Koppen stated, "At Mollie, our mission is to simplify payment processes for all companies. Customer feedback showed that our B2B customers need integrated payment solutions, including issuing, sending, and processing invoices." He added, "Mollie Invoicing is a great result of our efforts to strengthen our range of B2B products."
Founded in 2004 by Adrian Mol, Mollie is a payments platform that aims to simplify online payments for merchants. The company's easy-to-implement process for integrating payments into websites or apps removes the complexity often associated with various payment methods, utilizing a “simple yet powerful API.”
With a team of 750 people operating across Europe, the Dutch company processes payments for over 200,000 clients. Mollie supports a wide range of local payment methods, including Mastercard, VISA, Amex, PayPal, iDEAL, and more. The company's extensive reach and innovative solutions have made it a significant player in the fintech sector.
In 2023, Mollie achieved a net revenue of €99 million, marking a 36% growth compared to 2022. This impressive growth is attributed to attracting new and larger customers, as well as investments in new products like Mollie Capital and in-person payments. Additionally, Mollie has accelerated its international expansion efforts, particularly in Germany, France, and the UK. Earlier this year, in February 2024, the company launched Mollie Capital to provide UK merchants with fast and flexible financing options.
The launch of Mollie Invoicing signifies Mollie's commitment to continually enhancing its product offerings to meet the evolving needs of its business clients. As the company continues to innovate and expand its services, it remains focused on simplifying financial processes and providing comprehensive solutions to its growing customer base.
By integrating Mollie Invoicing into its ecosystem, Mollie aims to offer a seamless experience for businesses looking to manage their invoicing and payment processes more efficiently. This latest development underscores Mollie's dedication to supporting businesses of all sizes with advanced financial solutions that cater to their unique needs.
