Alpine Presents A390 in Dieppe as Second Step in Electric Lineup

The all-electric Alpine A390 was officially introduced on May 27 in Dieppe, France, marking the second addition to the Dream Garage series. The model is expected to arrive in Turkey by 2026.

A390 Unveiled as a Family-Oriented Performance Fastback

The global debut of the Alpine A390 took place in the brand’s hometown, Dieppe, on May 27, highlighting the model's role as a five-seat electric fastback designed for both daily driving and dynamic performance. Positioned as the second installment in the Alpine Dream Garage lineup, the A390 is part of a broader transition plan by Alpine, a subsidiary of the Renault Group, to fully electrify its vehicle offerings by 2030.

Philippe Krief, CEO of Alpine, emphasized that the A390 captures the spirit of the brand’s iconic A110, offering a refined yet sporty experience. He described it as a reinterpretation of Alpine’s DNA with added comfort and elegance, aimed at maintaining the marque’s motorsport essence in an EV platform.

Produced in Dieppe, Powered by French Engineering

Manufactured at the historic Jean Redele Factory in Dieppe, the A390 is supported by a supply chain based in France. Its battery system is developed by Verkor, using high-performance NMC chemistry with components produced in Dunkirk and assembled in Douai. Motors are built in Cleon, while tire technology comes from Michelin and the premium audio system is developed in partnership with Devialet.

The A390’s aerodynamic profile, measuring 4,615 mm in length, is paired with detailed design features such as flush door handles, a sloped rear window styled like a helmet visor, and triangular lighting elements referred to as “Cosmic Dust,” which create a comet-like visual signature.

Tech-Rich Interior and Driving Dynamics

Inside, the A390 presents a driver-focused cockpit with 12.3-inch and 12-inch high-resolution displays, combined with physical climate controls. The cabin features Napa leather, Alcantara elements, and Alpine’s signature blue ambient lighting. A flat-bottom steering wheel includes integrated controls for driving modes, assistant features, and two distinctive buttons: one for regenerative braking (blue RCH) and another for boost mode (red OV).

Inspired by the Formula 1 interface, the interior includes a floating center console and Sabelt sport seats. Optional elements include microfiber roof lining and dual-level trunk flooring, with total cargo space reaching 532 liters.

Dual-Motor Setup and Performance Options

Available in GT and GTS versions, the A390 offers all-wheel drive through a three-motor setup. The GT model produces 400 hp and 650 Nm, reaching 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/h. The GTS version delivers 470 hp and 808 Nm, sprinting to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and topping out at 220 km/h. The rear-mounted twin motors are supported by the Alpine Active Torque Vectoring system for agile handling.

Charging and Range Capabilities

Equipped with an 89 kWh battery and a 400V architecture, the A390 delivers a WLTP-estimated range of 520 to 555 km, depending on wheel size. Charging performance includes 190 kW DC fast charging, capable of restoring 80% charge in under 25 minutes. An 11 kW onboard charger is standard, while a 22 kW option and V2L bidirectional charging are also available.

ADAS and Safety Features

The A390 includes the latest generation ADAS technologies: forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, driver attention monitoring, lane departure warning, and exit alerts. Drivers can quickly manage settings via the My Safety shortcut button on the steering column.

Coming to Turkey in 2026

The A390 is expected to enter the Turkish market in 2026, as part of Alpine’s expansion under the local representation of MAIS A.S., a venture backed by OYAK and Renault. With sales and service support already established in Istanbul, the brand aims to extend its reach as the demand for high-performance electric vehicles grows.
